I am an adoptive mother and the experience has led me to not only write a book about my experiences of adoption- Mexican Takeaway- but also to form a charity to help children who are waiting for adoption. Adopt A Better Way aims to make adoption a more effective and humane system. We hope to influence the lawmakers to reduce the bureaucracy that results in thousands of children languishing in care. I’ve spoken numerous times on national television including BBC, Channel 4 and Sky and have also been interviewed by The Times, Daily Mail, Daily Express and Evening Standard.
