Love is love and when love, care, understanding and patience are missing it is far more important to meet those needs than meet the needs of the worried outsiders whose only solution is known to be a poor substitute. In an ideal world race and religion may also be a top priority, but if it was an ideal world these children would not need a forever family. As for the gender of the parents, there are peer reviewed scientific papers that confirm that gay couples make happy, well rounded teenagers, which makes sense as the children will always be planned.
